December 3, 2020

Dear Kispiox Community Members,

The Kispiox Community School (KCS) and the Anspayaxw Aboriginal Headstart will be closed to all students and staff from Friday, December 4, 2020 to Friday, December 11, 2020. Due to COVID-19, I have closed the Headstart and the school as a precautionary measure. The precautionary measures implemented on Monday, November 30th by Principal Brian Muldon, with a combination of in-class instruction and remote learning has been changed to ALL remote learning for students who were coming to the Kispiox Community School and the Anspayaxw Aboriginal Headstart.

All in-class instruction for all students who were coming to the Kispiox Community School and the Anspayaxw Aboriginal Headstart will revert to full remote learning.

During the closure, the Kispiox Community School and Anspayaxw Aboriginal Headstart will be completely sanitized to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff upon return to school. All staff will do their best to work from home. Please don’t hesitate to contact any staff member via email or telephone.

Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me via email: lgogag@kispioxschool.ca or by home telephone: 250-842-6822. As we wait for a vaccination, and look forward to the return to KCS and the Headstart, Dr. Bonnie Henry says, “Be Kind, Be Calm, Be Safe.” It is important to wear your mask, wash your hands and maintain physical distance.

Sincerely,

Lillian Gogag, Administrator,
